Cycling

On Saturday, my papa introduced me to cycling. He hopes that when Claire-claire is older, we can go cycling together as a family.

We first went to a very large room with lots of bicycles, just like the ones we have at home, and chose two - one for my papa and I, and one for my mama. Then, we went next door to buy a helmet. My mama took a photo so that she can show me how Claire-claire looked!

Ok, Claire-claire's on the bicycle, all strapped up and with my helmet on and ready to go! Papa, Claire-claire wants to go there please!

And so, off we went! There were many people running, cycling and rollerblading. And there were dogs too! This was fun ringing the bicycle bell, pointing out aeroplanes flying past every other minute and waving at my mama!

But Claire-claire was happiest when Claire-claire was allowed to run freely on the green, green grass and play "Rescue!" with the buoy.

Claire's calling

While my mama was bathing last night, the telephone rang. So Claire-claire ran to answer the phone. Claire pressed on all the buttons and then put it next to my ear - just like how my papa and mama will do. Hear! Hear! The phone is ringing!

Soon, my mama came out of the shower. "Who are you talking to, Claire?" Well mama, Claire-claire is trying to call papa to come home soon..

(Claire's mama finally realised who Claire was calling when checking her office call log this morning.)

The Beach

After breakfast yesterday, my mama packed some of my toys, gave me my Tweety bird rubber ball and told me that we are going to the beach with our friends. My papa said that it would be sunny and it was better to have my red cap on to keep out the sun. They were in such a hurry that my papa forgot to bring Claire-claire's milk powder to go along with her rice gruel. (But that's another story.)

Look at me - all ready!

This is Claire-claire first time at the beach and it's really fun. Claire-claire climbed trees and played with my rubber ball.

Then, my mama carried me to show me the sea and waves crashing onto the shore. Claire-claire was frightened and didn't want to come down. After some time, Claire-claire got used to the loud noises the waves make and started playing on the beach.

Claire-claire was very tired after an enjoyable time at the beach and fell asleep in the car, even before we left the beach carpark!

What a treat!

Today, we went to Swensens. My mama said that when she was a small girl, she would go there only on special occasions. Luckily, my papa says that these days, we don't have to wait for special occasions to go there. We can go anytime! Phew!

Claire-claire likes the aunty who welcomed us to Swensens. First, she gave me a yellow balloon. Then, she acknowledges little children like me; she asked my papa and my mama if they need a table for THREE! And then, she gave me my very own menu! It's quite tough chosing my lunch, so my papa helped me.

After eating omettele with ham and corn, which Claire-claire thoroughly enjoyed, we went to the supermarket. Then, my papa appeared with, what he calls, an ice-cream from Swensens. He shared it with mama and Claire-claire. Mmmm....

Oh my, what a treat!

MMR vaccination

This morning, my mama brought me to Dr Tan's clinic for my MMR vaccination. She said the injection may be a little painful, but it will be over in a flash. Hmm...Claire-claire wonders how painful that will be.

So here's Claire-claire, waiting for the clinic to open. After some rides and chasing some birds and eating a strawberry, the clinic finally opened.

Soon, it's Claire-claire's turn. Dr Tan told my mama to hold me hands and before Claire-claire knows it, the injection is done! My mama patted me and said that Claire-claire is a brave girl. :)

Good Pinocchio

Ah Ma and Yi-yi brought me a new playground. Claire-claire enjoys driving in the yellow car together with whom my mama calls, the Pinocchio who has turned over a new leaf.

Papa, can you tell me where the leaves are when you are back please?

Mozzie alert

Claire-claire didn't have a good sleep the night before. There were mozzies disturbing me. My mama only knew about it the next morning. She is upset that there are mozzie marks all over my face, so Claire-claire is upset too. My mama even said that she will use insecticide on them!

Oh no! Claire-claire hopes my mama doesn't hurt herself using insecticide. My papa tried to use it once on lizards; it was quite scary and Claire-claire had to save him.

No swimming!

On the 4th day of CNY, my mama drove my papa and I to Upper Pierce reservoir. My papa said this was my second time there.

This time round, Claire-claire was much happier. Know why? 'cos it was nice and breezy. Claire-claire tried to rush to the water, and my mama had a hard time holding me back. My papa had to help! My mama says that we can't swim in the reservoir because the water is meant for drinking. Besides, there were a lot of creepy-crawlies in there.

See how disappointed Claire-claire was..
Maybe next time, you can join us here for a jog and picnic!

A brave scratch

On the 3rd day of CNY, my papa brought Claire-claire along to buy breakfast. Claire-claire insisted that we walk instead of driving there. Papa! Don't be lazy!

At one stretch, my papa put me down to practise walking up a slope. Being excited, Claire-claire tried to run instead and tripped! Fortunately, my papa was there to help me up. He even said Claire-claire was a brave girl for getting up myself and not crying.

Here's what Claire-claire has to show for it!

Gong Xi, Gong Xi!

Gong Xi, Gong Xi every one! May the year of the (Mickey) mouse bring you lots of laughter and fun!

Chinese New Year is very hectic for Claire-claire. In the first three days, Claire-claire went to many places and missed my much needed afternoon naps. So Claire-claire was tired, sleepy and naturally, grouchy. Luckily, Claire-claire still managed to have some fun

Rocking on my horse on the first day..

Interacting with my cousin at my grandparents' home..

Running in my grandaunt's garden on the second day..

And dancing on her steps..
